At Wild Holler Homestead, our Kinder goats are the heart of the farm—affectionate, hardy, and wonderfully efficient. As a dual-purpose breed, they give us rich, creamy milk and well-marbled meat, all while thriving on pasture and brush.
Kinder goats are the best of both worlds—compact, efficient, and full of personality. A true dual-purpose breed, Kinders produce both rich, high-butterfat milk and tender, flavorful meat, making them ideal for small farms and homesteads where every animal needs to earn its keep.
Unlike many dairy breeds that require large amounts of feed and infrastructure, Kinders thrive on pasture and browse, adapting beautifully to holistic and low-input systems. They’re known for being easy kidders, good mothers, and low-maintenance animals with excellent feed-to-output ratios.
Their smaller size makes them easier to handle than standard dairy goats, while their stout, muscular build sets them apart from miniature breeds. If you’re looking for goats that are productive, practical, and personable, Kinder goats offer a balance that’s hard to beat.
Whether you’re milking for your family, raising meat for your freezer, or simply want hardy goats that fit into a regenerative system, Kinders are a smart, sustainable choice.
We raise our goats as holistically as possible, selecting for animals that are naturally healthy, easy to kid, and gentle to handle. We avoid medications and interventions unless absolutely necessary, letting nature and good genetics do the heavy lifting. Our goal is to produce goats that are not just productive, but resilient, low-maintenance, and well-adapted to a sustainable farm life.
While we currently disbud for safety, our dream is to design spaces where horns can stay and goats can be goats—fully expressed and fully respected. Each doe has a name, a history, and a place in our family. Our goats are not just part of the farm—they’re part of us.
We will always ensure that bucklings meet our strict criteria for a herd sire before we consider sales, or else males will leave here as wethers or be processed later.
